When Tim Schaeffer and Korie Johnson met in graduate school in 1998, where they both studied to become marine biologists, it was a match made in heaven. After graduate school, Korie built her career as a marine biologist, protecting the marine habitats of endangered species, while Tim went to business school and subsequently worked in the personal care industry developing natural products.
